Laura Courtley-Todd is in her 10th year at St. Thomas University. She began as the school's sports information director and assistant athletic director (1996-98). She became associate athletic director in 1998 and took over as head of the department in 2000.
Courtley-Todd has made her mark in college athletics by committing to make St. Thomas University a learning laboratory for student-athletes. Courtley-Todd was honored as the 1999-2000 Florida Sun Conference Female Administrator of the Year as well as the 1999-2000 Region XIV (Florida and Georgia) Athletic Director of the Year by the NAIA. She is a member of the NAIA Council of Athletic Administrators and serves as the NAIA Region XIV chair, two posts she has held since 2005.
Before arriving at STU, Courtley-Todd was an assistant venue manager and events coordinator for the 1996 Olympic Soccer Organizing Committee in South Florida. She also assisted the Orange Bowl Committee during the 1995 national championship game.
Courtley-Todd earned her bachelor of science in recreation education in 1994 at The Ohio State University (Columbus). She earned a master of science in sports administration at St. Thomas in 1995.
She is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA), the National Association of Collegiate Women's Administrators (NACWA), and the National Intramural Recreation Association (NIRSA).
Courtley-Todd lives in Sunrise, Fla., with her husband Sean.
