St. Augustine, Fla - The St. Thomas Bobcats lost their volleyball match against the Flagler College Saints 3-0 (30-12, 30-14, 30-18) snapping the Saints two game losing streak. The Bobcats are now 4-10 while the Saints improve to 13-9.

Justine Burkhardt played well for the Saints, she put together eight kills and also hit an efficient .438 for the match. Kelly Boese added seven kills and four total blocks for the Saints. Senior setter Katie Pommier added six digs to lead the defense and also added five service aces.

Maria Roman led the Bobcats during the match with nine kills. Her nine kills were apart of an active day on the court she also led the team in total attacks with 21. Ashlee Gureerro put together the most balanced performance making six kills, two digs, one solo block, and one assisted block.

During the second game the Bobcats played well early trailing 13-10. Flagler would put together several points from there out-scoring St. Thomas 13-2 to put the game away and win 30-14. Three consecutive attack errors by the Bobcats contributed to the Saints scoring run.

In game three, Guerrero recorded a kill and St. Thomas trailed only 11-10. Flagler would score the next four points led by a pair of kills from Becky Hendrian. From there, Flagler would secure the game, 30-18, and the match.

The Bobcats play again October 6, 2007 against Palm Beach Atlantic at 5 PM.
