Bobcats lose a close one

March 12, 2008

Miami Gardens, Fla. - The Men's (2-9) and Women's (1-11) tennis teams lost to Wesleyan College 7-2 and 9-0 respectively. Natalia Ramirez and Adriana Montilla fell just short of producing a point for the Women's team losing 8-5 in doubles competition.

For the Men's team Ricardo Vazquez had the winning touch producing victories in singles and doubles play. He won 8-3 in singles play and teamed with Jeremy Bache to win 8-4 in doubles competition.

Bache has scored at least one point for the Bobcats in their last five matches. Bache almost mirrored Vazquez's production losing a close one in singles competition (7-6, 6-3). Federico Acevedo was close to winning in singles play also losing (7-5, 6-3).

Both teams will have a few days off until their next match against New Jersey Institute of Technology at home March 18 starting at 2:00 pm.
