Jaisen Labrada scored for the Bobcats

Bobcats almost end season with a win

Oct. 30, 2007

Miami Gardens, Fla - St. Thomas (6-11-1 FSC 3-8)ended their regular season battling Embry-Riddle to the last whistle. The game was tied at one when Embry-Riddle's (7-7-1 FSC 6-3-1) coach received a red card for arguing with the referee and gave his players the added enthusiasm they needed to score the winning goal in the last minute of the game.

Scoring the game winning goal for Embry-Riddle was Hugh Davey after a free kick by Carl Sheard. The Embry-Riddle player went ecstatic after the goal because they were still pumped up from their coaches display of emotion.

The first half was even at zero as both goalkeepers, Diego Villagos for St. Thomas and Ian Levine would put forth a strong performance. Villagos ended the game with seven saves while Levine made three.

Joe Yoffe scored the first goal of the game during the 65th minute. He was able to put the ball into the back of the net after the ball ricocheted off of a St. Thomas defender.

Jaisen Labrada would respond for the Bobcats less than three minutes later scoring an unassisted goal.

Embry-Riddle out shot St. Thomas 18 to five during the game and on their way to the programs fifth straight conference title.
