Oct. 10, 2007

Box Score

West Palm Beach, Fla - Two early goals by Palm Beach Atlantic's Matt Sweesey led to a 4-1 loss for the St. Thomas Bobcats. Sebastian Heiber prevented the shutout scoring a goal on a penalty kick.

Sweesey's first goal was a chip shot over the head of St. Thomas goalkeeper Aaron Jones. It came after an assist by Cheyne Roberts. Sweesey's second goal on Jones came after an assist by Caleb Roberts.

The Sailfish (7-3) would enter half time with a 2-0 lead. After some halftime adjustments by head coach Felix Mats the Bobcats (2-9-1) would core their first goal of the game on Heiber's penalty kick.

Unfortunately for the Bobcats that would be their only goal of the game and Palm Beach Atlantic would extent their lead. Cheyne Roberts would score on a penalty kick of his own while Anthony Mack would score the final goal after a corner kick by Johnathon Clark.

Joseph Yurchak was the winning goalie for the Sailfish he had a save and allowed one goal. The Bobcats attempted three shots on Yurchak while Jones had a much busier day watching the Sailfish attempt 12 on his goal.

The men's soccer team play again at Bobcat Field October 13 at 3 PM.
