Miami Gardens, Fl. - The St. Thomas University golf team finished 12th in the Buccaneer Invitational on Tuesday with a total score of 900. The best performer for the Bobcats was Alejandro Velasquez who tied for 2nd place overall with a final score of 213. Velasquez finished 1 stroke above par in each of the first two rounds but came back Tuesday to shoot an outstanding 5 under par.

The second best performance from a Bobcat golfer was delivered by Je Her who shot a 74 on Tuesday to finish with a total score of 222 (tied for 30th). Other Bobcat scores came from Max Keen with 229, Juan Ordonez with 236, and Brian Alfonso with 239. Although 12th place was probably not the goal for the Bobcats, they did finish two strokes ahead of conference rival Northwood University.

The winner of the Buccaneer Invitational was Barry University with a total score of 865. The best performance came from Columbus State's Andrew Georgiou whose team only finished two strokes behind Barry.
