Box Score

Boca Raton, Fla - The St. Thomas baseball team dropped their fourth straight loss losing to #17 Lynn University 27-11. A lead off homerun to start the game by Douglas Toro, and two others by Joe Arminio and Gabe MacDougall in the first inning put the Bobcats down five early.

The Bobcats remained poised and put together a six run second inning of their own. The explosive inning began with a Lance Larimer double to right center field. Larimer would score on a single by Anthony Gonzalez. Larimer would be the first to score and last to get out as the Bobcat cycled their line-up for the inning. Gonzalez, Manny Escalona, Julio Fernandez, J.C. Gil, and Marlon Pascual all scored in the inning.

Lynn managed to tie the game in the bottom of the second adding another run on an Armino single.

Both teams' bats cooled during the third inning, neither team scored a run. While the bobcat bats remained fidget Lynn got hot in the fourth and put eight runs on the board, highlighted by a grand slam from Rick Davis.

St. Thomas posted another three runs in the sixth, but could not make up the difference on the score board. By the end of the sixth the score was 23-10. Juan Santana, Paniagua, and Perez scored for the Bobcats.

Lynn scored four more insurance runs in the eighth and the Bobcats scored one more run in the ninth in a late attempt at a rally. Pascual batted three Bobcats across home plate to lead the team in RBI's. Gil, Santana, and Escalona led the team in hits with three.

The Bobcats play at Palm Beach Atlantic University, April 16 at 6:00 pm.
