Philosophy:

The athletic training and sports medicine staff at St. Thomas University is committed to delivering the highest quality health care to our student-athletes. Our aim is to provide safe and healthy opportunities for practice and competition. Our mission is to promote and maintain the health of student-athletes by providing a full range of acute care, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and illnesses, as well as referral services when appropriate.

The athletic training and sports medicine staff at St. Thomas has an athletic trainer certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association and licensed by the State of Florida. The athletic trainer works in cooperation with both orthopedic and podiatric physicians, which creates a comprehensive team to deliver health care to our student-athletes.
